Bremerton Spring

We couldn't ask for more beautiful weather here right now (especially after being in the 80's of Hawaii for two weeks).  We are enjoying the growth all around us (although the lawn is growing faster than we can keep up with) and Noah is excited as he watches the garden he and daddy are going to manage this summer.  Thanks Grandma for helping us plant the seeds!

A Sweet Time!

We had the privilege of spending these past few weeks on the Island of Oahu.  We are pinching ourselphs that we were able to have such an amazing vacation.  We are very thankful.

Happy Easter!

We had a sweet and very memorable 2009 Easter.  We started the day off with Resurrection Eggs and chocolate bunnies.  After a family photo on Waikiki we joined up with some friends and attended their worship service.  The last two photos are of friends from Bremerton now stationed at Pearl.

Exploring the Island

On days where we needed a little break from the beach, we took in some of the sites from around the Island.  From top to bottom: Waimea Falls, downtown Waikiki, Paradise Cove at Ko'Olina, Battleship USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor, Kole Kole Pass.

The Beach!

Snorkeling was probably one of the biggest highlights for Noah.  The sand was a hit for Hudson although he became enamored by waves crashing over him.

Aloha!

We were blessed these past few weeks to take in a little sun on the shores of Oahu.  We did a lot of nothing (which was just what the Dr. ordered), lots of time on the beach, by the pool, beautiful drives, scenic hikes, and yummy food.  The boys were a joy to watch as they played for hours in the water.

Faces of Hudson

Hudson is 21 months old already. With his new haircut, you might be able to catch glimpses of his brother. On the other hand, he is certainly a one-of-a-kind, bull in a China shop, delightful little boy. I finally was able to capture "the look" which is classic Hudson. He is known by many to look out of the corner of his eye at you. It's so funny (maybe you have to see it in person to believe it).

Couldn't Resist!

We had a beautiful sunny morning here so after a trip to the grocery store the boys headed outside.  There was no stopping them as they made a mad dash for the water hole in our backyard.  Let's just say we change our clothes around here quite frequently!  The last photo is of Noah proudly displaying his clay model of daddy's submarine (just in case you were wondering what it was).

Evenings with Daddy

The boys can't get enough of papa right now.  Noah is beyond excited with Ben and Hudson is so enamored with him.  We are looking forward to a little R & R in a few days.

Home, almost!

Ben made it back from patrol safe and sound this past Monday.  Noah and I were able to go to the pier and watch his sub pull in.  Because of security reasons, we were not able to take any pictures. Ben is home, but we won't be seeing much of him for a few weeks due to business on the boat. We are so thankful to have him home!

January Days

I have learned the secret to a happy boy:  being dirty and wet.  I guess we live in a perfect place for that.
