Photo Shoot Round II

Do you think I am enjoying having a little girl???

Photo Shoot Round 1

Amalia was particularly tickled this morning after I got her dressed and ready for the day, so I thought I'd grab the camera and snap away.

Amalia Iris Turns 1!

We waited for daddy to get home to celebrate Amalia's birthday last night (just 2 days late) and had a sweet time eating strawberry cake, watching a picture video of Amalia's first year, and giving her a little red rocking chair. Took her to the doctor today for her 1 year baby wellness check up and she is 28 inches long and 21 pounds happy. What a girl!

Noah and Mommy's Snowman

Six inches of snow fell last night but sadly the rains are melting it down quickly. Noah and I got busy this afternoon before it all melted and built this little guy.

Happy New Year!

We celebrated New Year's with my parents this past week and enjoyed relaxing days together. Above are some shots of our little day trip to the mountains on New Year's day.

Granny's got a gun!

We took my parents out for a long drive on New Year's day and enjoyed beautiful sites of the olympics and Mt. Raineer. Ben brought some guns along for a little target practice which we all enjoyed. Grandma shot her first gun ever and wasn't too bad of a shot!

Trimming the Tree

One of life's simple pleasures... decorating the Christmas tree. It's always a sight to see after two little boys have hung ornaments (with much vigor and enthusiasm) and how the bottom third of the tree just sort of droops. Very sweet. Little Amalia found herself delighting in the commotion and sparkles.

2010 Tree Hunt

Spent a chilly morning this past Saturday at a tree farm in search for our Christmas tree. The best part was to hear Noah and Hudson say a half dozen times, "oh, oh this one, I like this one" (referring to the trees of course) and seeing them play chase up and down the rows of trees. We are relishing the fact that we live in a very evergreen region so there are lots of trees to choose from. Quite different from our Arizona upbringing!

Loving Life

These are just random photos taken over the last month that are much too precious not to share (just my unbiased opinion!).

Spokane Vacation

Ben got home from sea this past week from being on the HMJ submarine for almost 2 months. We were thankful to be able to get away for a few days and have some time just the 5 of us. The Fall colors of Spokane have been spectacular. Notice the little red dot (Amalia) sitting under the amazing yellow tree.
