Memorial Day on Mt. Rainier

On Memorial Day we drove to the top (Paradise Lodge) of beautiful Mt. Rainier. The snow and sun made a perfect combination for a gorgeous day on the mountain. Noah had a great time making snow balls and sledding on his behind down some of the sled runs.

Classic Family Photo Moment

Life is interesting with a 4 year old and almost 2 year old (both of them being very much boys!). We find ourselphs just laughing at the many attempts we've had when trying to get the four of us in a picture together where all of us are smiling... let alone even looking at the camera. Sometimes you just can't win and you just have to laugh!

Grandma Selph Visits

We had a wonderful time with Grandma Selph here this past week. Lots of Hide and Seek, Dinosaur Bingo, yummy treats, and much more! The boys love their grandmas (and grandpas too!).

Gone Fishin'

Watch out when you take the Selph boys fishing... the environment is anything but peaceful and quiet! Noah's loud enthusiasm coupled with Hudson's splashing in the water makes for quite a time!

Grandma Howe Visit

We had a great time with Grandma Howe these past 8 days (although we missed having Grandpa here). The boys enjoyed playing outside, reading, digging up dirt, baking, new toys, and much more with her! I enjoyed the major yard work she did, many loads of laundry she folded, and dirty dishes she washed.... thanks mom!

A Ride on the Ferry

Riding the ferries is about the best entertainment for little boys around here! It is always fun to capture their curious and playful expressions while riding the ferry.

Night Out!

Ben and I had a great time this year at the 109th Submarine Birthday Ball in Seattle. Grandma kept the boys and we enjoyed a night away.

Bremerton Spring

We couldn't ask for more beautiful weather here right now (especially after being in the 80's of Hawaii for two weeks).  We are enjoying the growth all around us (although the lawn is growing faster than we can keep up with) and Noah is excited as he watches the garden he and daddy are going to manage this summer.  Thanks Grandma for helping us plant the seeds!

A Sweet Time!

We had the privilege of spending these past few weeks on the Island of Oahu.  We are pinching ourselphs that we were able to have such an amazing vacation.  We are very thankful.

Happy Easter!

We had a sweet and very memorable 2009 Easter.  We started the day off with Resurrection Eggs and chocolate bunnies.  After a family photo on Waikiki we joined up with some friends and attended their worship service.  The last two photos are of friends from Bremerton now stationed at Pearl.

Exploring the Island

On days where we needed a little break from the beach, we took in some of the sites from around the Island.  From top to bottom: Waimea Falls, downtown Waikiki, Paradise Cove at Ko'Olina, Battleship USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor, Kole Kole Pass.
