Hudson turns 6!!!

Hudson had a very happy birthday this past weekend and was spoiled (thanks to grandparents and Jim and Diana!) with John Deere and even John Deere cupcakes.  The other shots are of him this past month...he's getting to be such a big boy!

Cousin Jim and Diana and their granddaughter (our 3rd cousin once removed, maybe?) gave us a tour of the Lexington/Concord area (near Boston) where the famous "shot that was heard around the world" and Paul Revere's ride took place.

113th Submarine Birthday Ball

We had a great time last night at our sub ball.  Thanks to mom Selph, the kids got to have a special evening with grandma and we were able to have the them come and see us beforehand at the hotel. Amalia got to be a princess with her mommy for 10 minutes :).  It was also special for me to wear my great grandmother's necklace for the evening, thanks mom.

Honor Flight

What a privilege for Ben to be able to accompany my mom and Honor Flight Arizona this past week in DC.  Ben met several Arizona WWII vets and heard some incredible stories...one man below, was a 1941 Naval Academy grad who helped to build the USS Nautilus submarine (world's first nuclear-powered submarine...I had to be refreshed as well). Their class rings are also pictured below.  Amazing how old and worn the old man's ring is...we'll be there soon enough!  Also, the famous Keith Turner was able to join the group, so very special for them both.

A Visit to Cape Elizabeth

We went to Maine's oldest lighthouse in Cape Elizabeth.  The history of this place is rich and was actually funded by George Washington.  It was freeeezing that day so we plan to go back when we can picnic on the surrounding grounds of Ft. Williams.
