My mom and I took the kids to the Maritime Museum last week where we got to go aboard the last diesel submarine, a Russian submarine, and a few pirate ships! The last pic is up at Cabrillo by the Pt. Loma lighthouse.
Just some highlights this month- pic 1-2: We got to see a fisherman catching a 6 foot shark off of the PB pier and yes, that is a surfer trying to help the live shark into the fishing net. pic. 3-4: Noah's opening little league game. pic 5-6: Ben gets invited to speak to Noah's class and gives a talk on submarines. pic 7: catching a sunset by Pacific Beach Pier. pic 8: Hudson, smiling like a Howe. pic 9: dinner at our house with some of the Topeka kids.
Today we had the privilege of going on a whale watch. We didn't see any whales but were blessed to see hundreds (literally) of dolphins. The kids had a blast along with Grandma Howe.
Had a good day celebrating A's birthday. Noah and Huds helped make the cake and Chick-fil-a took care of dinner and entertainment. Simple sweet birthday :).
The day before Thanksgiving, Ben's submarine returned to port and Ben was able to fly over just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving Day with us all. This will be a Thanksgiving we'll remember for a long time.
We spent a very special Thanksgiving vacation in Prescott with grandparents, great grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles, great uncle, and friends. What special memories we will have especially as we celebrated my dad's recent cancer-free report.
Uncle Aaron, Aunt Rachel, Caleb, and Phoebe came from Monterey to visit us for the holiday weekend. We had a total blast playing and being together. The cousins were continuously dressing up or running around outside while we adults were continuously drinking coffee and vegging together. It was completely wonderful.
