Spokane Vacation

Ben got home from sea this past week from being on the HMJ submarine for almost 2 months. We were thankful to be able to get away for a few days and have some time just the 5 of us. The Fall colors of Spokane have been spectacular. Notice the little red dot (Amalia) sitting under the amazing yellow tree.

Halloween

The first picture is Noah dressed up with his teacher (also dressed up!). Grandpa Selph kindly filled in for Ben (who was still out to sea) this year carving the jack-o-lantern (I'm not a big fan of doing the carving myself!). Between the school party and trick or treating, we had about six different costumes floating around this year. All in all, a sweet Halloween.

The Pumpkin Patch

We're thankful to have dad and mom Selph here this week. We've been enjoying beautiful Washington Fall days.

9 Months Old

Our little lady continues to be such a bright spot in our days. Her noises, the way she eats, her interactions with the boys, and the way she loves to cuddle are all apart of the sweetness of these baby days. She is such a gift from God.

Little Boys

I love capturing the boys when they are totally in their world of make believe. I am savoring these days of having little boys. Noah has decided that he and Hudson are going to be pirates again this year for Halloween (fine by me, makes life easy!) so here they are practicing their whole get up- notice the lovely make-up job done by Noah.

Warm Fall Day

We've had a few days in the high 60's which have been so gorgeous and sunny. We are getting in our last days at the beach and playing at the park before the rain comes again.

Amalia Meets the Fall

Couldn't resist snapping away as Amalia is discovering leaves. She is fascinated with the crunchy sounds, the pokiness, and the taste of them! We are enjoying watching her these days, especially as a little pumpkin head.

Happy Birthday, Happy Boy!

So thankful to have celebrated another year of Noah's life! Six years! We began the celebration a week ago knowing that Ben would be going to sea soon (in fact, on the day of Noah's actual birthday, the 27th). We had a HUGE party with guests from primarily Noah's Sunday School, a classmate, and neighbor friends- it was the first and last time (or so we think) we will ever entertain 18 little ones! Although loud, a little chaotic (to say the least), and overly lively this party was, we really did have a ton of fun and a good time was had by all. The last photos are of Noah with his classmates on his actual birthday eating cupcakes.

A Very Happy Birthday

It was a very happy birthday this year as we got to celebrate my 32nd with all five of us together- it's been a while (for all you Navy friends that might be curious, Ben is now the Engineer on the H.M. Jackson temporarily). We celebrated with a drive to Ft. Flagler Island and had a picnic. It was a simply perfect day.

Loving Our Daddy

Amalia hasn't seen much of Ben lately due to his busy schedule but the two of them are so sweet to watch as they talk and interact with each other.

First Days of Kindergarten

How amazing it is that Noah has begun his school day adventures. I am feeling a little old and tearful at the moment. He has been so excited to be a Brownsville Bear for such a long time! Yesterday was his kindergarten orientation and today he took his maiden voyage on the big yellow bus to spend his first "real" day in Mrs. Montgomery's classroom. More school pictures to follow in the coming months ahead!
